Glenn de Castro
I grew up on the South Side of Chicago, near St. Albert the Great Parish. I am the youngest of seven children in a very, very Catholic Filipino family. I graduated from the following schools: St. Albert’s, St. Laurence in Burbank, Northern Illinois University, St. Louis University, and Logan University of Health Sciences. I enjoy reading about psychology, especially topics that involve self-help and organizational management. My physical hobbies include rollerblading, biking, weight training, and anything outdoors. Along these lines, I have a deep interest in nutrition, health and fitness which led me to become a C.S.C.S. certified personal trainer and believe it or not, I am a Board Certified Chiropractic Physician also! Ultimately, though, I am a musician – your parish musician. I have ministered as a liturgical musician since the third grade and have served as a Director of Music in various parishes since 1999. This said, I am incredibly passionate about music and how it can help us attain a unique level of spirituality. I firmly believe that music is an attempt to express emotions that are beyond speech.
