PARISH COMMUNICATIONS MINISTRY
I. MISSION STATEMENT (brief statement
of purpose)
The MISSION of the PARISH COMMUNICATIONS
MINISTRY is to use available media to
spread the good news about parish life
and to enable parish ministries and
staff to communicate information about
parish life, leading to more active
involvement in MSW’s faith community.
II. GOAL (“end-product”

whom this ministry is directed)
The GOAL of the PARISH COMMUNICATIONS
MINISTRY is for people to be knowledgeable
about the parish, take an active role
in it, and see it as a sacrament (sign)
of Christ, “who has no body now
but ours, no hands now but ours”
III. OBJECTIVES (corollaries,
strategies, priorities flowing from
mission and goal)
1. To provide a structure for leadership
succession, representation on the commission,
and implementation of ministry’s
mission and goal.
2. To utilize all helpful media forms
to get out the message, including Topics,
quarterly newsletter (W.O.W.), web sight,
e-mail, newspapers, TV, etc.
3. To be pro-active in information gathering,
as well as in encouraging parish ministries
to publish information about their respective
ministries.
4. To utilize and coordinate the parish
calendar in the Parish Communications
Ministry.

2. Quarterly Newsletter (Words of Wisdom
- “W.O.W.”)
3. Web Sight
4. Formation of a coordinating team
to implement mission and objectives,
and to provide for a system of leadership
succession, and representation on the
commission.
5. Development of ways to assure dialogue
and coordination between parish media
ministries.
6. Development of a pro-active link
with the Parish Recruitment Ministry
and Adult Enrichment Ministry to coordinate
publicity and promotional efforts.
7. Development of an effective link
between this ministry and Parish Calendar.
