COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN (CCW
I. MISSION STATEMENT (brief statement
of purpose)
The MISSION of the COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC
WOMEN is to organize women of the parish
through an executive board, guilds and
general membership, so that women can
develop support communities, friendships,
opportunities for spiritual growth,
and ways to provide service projects
and fund raisers to help parish &
community organizations.
II. GOAL (“end-product”

whom ministry is directed)
The GOAL of the COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC
WOMEN (CCW) is for women of the parish
to experience a sense of community,
parish belonging, social outlets, social
outreach, as well spiritual growth and
involvement in fund-raising projects
that assist parish and community organizations.
III.
OBJECTIVES (corollaries, strategies,
priorities flowing from mission and
goal)
1. To develop effective strategies to
fill executive board positions and to
recruit new members for both guilds
and general membership.
2. To develop effective strategies to
publicize the CCW and educate the parish-at-large
on the mission and goal of CCW
3. To provide opportunities for enhancing
the spiritual development of members.
4. To develop strategies to encourage
members to take more active roles in
organizing, promoting and conducting
service projects to provide financial
assistance to parish and community organizations.
IV. SERVICES (programs, actions,
projects)
1. Annual CCW Mass, involvement in World
Day of Prayer, promoting retreats and
spirituality days, making prayer an
integral part of all CCW meetings.
2. Service projects and fund raisers
by guilds; Executive Board’s annual
dissemination of funds to help parish
and community organizations.
3. Publicizing CCW events in Topics
and other parish and community media
outlets.
4. Members reaching out to sick and
bereaved CCW members.
5. Welcoming newcomers and inviting
them to join CCW.
