MINISTRY TO MEN
I. MISSION STATEMENT (brief statement
of purpose)
The MISSION of the MINISTRY TO MEN is
to develop, promote and conduct programs
that help the men of Mary, Seat of Wisdom
parish to carry out their Christian
vocation as men who live in loving communion
with God and others.
II. GOAL (“end-product”
… desired outcome for those to
whom ministry is directed)
The GOAL of the MINISTRY TO MEN is for
men of the parish to experience solidarity
with other men as they seek to mature
in a masculine religious identity; also
to continue to define their roles in
Church, family and society.
III.
OBJECTIVES (corollaries, strategies,
priorities flowing from mission and
goal)
1. To provide a structure for leadership
succession, representation on the commission,
and implementation of ministry’s
mission and goal.
2. For men to grow in their understanding
of what it is to be a Catholic male,
in relationship to other men, to their
wives and family, as well as in the
workplace and community.
3. To be pro-active in communications,
publicity and marketing this Ministry.
4. To ensure that the Ministry has effective
leadership.
5. To work to refine this ministry’s
organizational and program structure.
IV.
SERVICES (programs, actions, projects)
1. Development of a Strategic Plan to
implement ministry’s mission and
objectives, to provide for representation
on the commission and a strategy for
leadership succession.
2. offering programs which address men’s
work life, family life, their faith
and spiritual lives, and their own identity
in today’s culture.
3. Publicizing and promoting the Ministry
to Men.
4. Creating a task force to review and
enhance this ministry’s organizational
and program structure.
