Mission Statement

The mission of our ministry is to work with Jubilee USA and other Jubilee groups worldwide to eliminate poverty inn highly indebted, poor countries.

Goals and Objectives

The goal is for parishioners to put their faith into practice by working and praying to eliminate the suffering of our brothers and sisters that has been caused by intese poverty.

The Jubilee and World Poverty Ministry strive to:

• Work toward the Jubilee Act and other pieces of related legislation which reduce or eliminate the debt of highly indebted, poor countries.
• Encourage our national government to work with the United Nations to ensure that the Millenium goals are achieved.
• Encourage our national government to cooperate with the World Bank, the InternationalMonetary Fund, and other multi-national lending organizations to give grants and to make future loans to developing nations for the betterment of the poor.

Services

• Keep parishioners informed of the progress of the Jubilee Movement.
• Encourage parishioners to write and call Congress and our President regarding legislation and policy decisions which impact the poor of the world.
