"Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me."

-Matthew 25:37-40

The Social Concerns Ministry provides support services for any individual or family in the community whose needs prevent them from realizing their full potential in the family of God. Our goal is to serve the “least of these” as commanded by Christ. Recognizing the dignity of every human person inspires us to serve in Christ’s name, as we seek to bring spiritual and material support to those in need.

The Social Concerns Ministry is ready to respond to any need that arises both within our parish and in the larger community. Some of the services that we regularly provide include the following:

  • Intake and Referral: Support to the needy with food coupons, bag lunches, referrals to food pantries, local dinners and social service agencies.
  • Care and Support of Aging Parents: Meets fourth Tuesday of the month to offer support and resources to those caring for elderly.
  • Annual Fall Coat Drive
  • Thanksgiving food collection
  • Advent gift giving outreach
  • Lenten Food drive
  • Manna for Marillac: On-going monthly collection of non-perishable food items from parishioners, placed in the Gathering Area.
